Helen Kotascka, age 87, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Helen was born in Taylor, Pennsylvania on December 15, 1930, to Steven and Ida Gajewski.

Helen was an incredibly kind and generous person. She is survived by her two sons, Robert & his wife Jean; David & his wife Sherry; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Helen had one sister who preceded her to be with our Lord and is survived by one brother and one sister. Everyone in her family referred to Helen and her mom as BACCI (grandma in Polish) and CUCCI meaning aunt by her nieces and nephews. Helen was married twice. Once to her boy’s father, Jim (deceased) and subsequently to Stanley Kotacska (deceased).

Helen lived most of her adult life in New Jersey and yes, having a beautiful JOISEY accent, until a approximately 4 years ago when she moved to Texas to be near her sons.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 pm at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Road in Kingwood, Texas.

The funeral mass will be conducted at 8:30 am on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 3702 Woodland Hills Dr., Kingwood, Texas 77365 with Rev. T.J. Dolce as Celebrant.

Rite of committal will follow at 10:30 am at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Humble, Texas.
Rosary: A Rosary was held on 2018-10-25 at Darst Funeral Home.
