OBITUARY

David LeCompte was born June 27, 1971 and went to meet the Lord on January 22, 2018 at the age of 46 years old. He and his wife, Jodie, were looking forward to celebrating 20 years of marriage this year renewing their vows.

David was a very gentle, fun loving father who enjoyed spending all of his free time with his girls, Maddisen, McKalie, Amelie, Olivia. He had such a special bond with each of them. When people asked what his hobbies were, he would jokingly say, “keeping my girls happy”. David enjoyed doing home improvements, tending to his roses, bbq cook outs & just being with his family. He especially enjoyed random weekend road trips with Jodie & the girls and always looked forward to holidays spent with family.

He was a simple man who didn’t require much to be happy. He found joy in giving to others & was always eager to serve those in need. Anyone who knew him, loved him. Even during his battle with cancer, he was courageous & humble, always smiling and never complaining when he was suffering.

His faith in God kept him positive and allowed him to endure all he did. He loved this quote: “A life without God is like a pencil without a point. It has no purpose.” David served his purpose on earth and was an example of Christ’s love to all.

He is survived by his loving parents, Elrick & Myrtle LeCompte & his admired older brother, Kevin & cherished younger brother, Ryan and their spouses, 5 nephews and 3 nieces. David was known as the “favourite son in law” to his in laws, Joseph & Debra St.Romain and very much loved by them and his 3 brother in laws, Travis, Bascom and Mitchel and their wives and three nieces. He is already missed & will forever be in our hearts.
