Jim was born in Austin, TX on February 6, 1954. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas, Principia College in Elsah, IL, and the University of Houston Law Center where he remained a proud and active alumus.
Jim devoted his life to public service and the support of others. He began his career an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County, Texas and he was very proud of his work there for many years. Later, he became a dedicated criminal defense attorney known for his knowledge, integrity and unfailing commitment to his clients. He was also known for his warmth and good humor among his friends and colleagues at the courthouse. He conducted himself with grace and class and was generally regarded as a “Lawyer’s Lawyer.”
Guided by his late and beloved father, James Lindeman, Jr., Jim achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and was always proud of this accomplishment. He also loved to sail competitively and leisurely with his family. He was also a lifelong and enthusiastic golfer.
His sudden passing is grieved by his family, his many friends, his colleagues at Lindeman & Alvarado, P.C. and the Houston legal community.
His generous heart, sincere friendship and gregarious spirit touched all who knew him. His smile and good-nature were infectious.
â€‹Jim was a longtime member of 4th Church of Christ, Scientist located at 4910 Montrose Blvd., in Houston. A celebration of his life will be held there on Thursday, October 11, 2012. The family will welcome visitors at 3:00 PM and there will be a service at 4:00 PM followed by light refreshments.
