OBITUARY

Imogene Grace Gregory Lindsay, 90, of Porter, Texas passed away Friday, October 27, 2017. She was born in Kaufman, Texas to William and Jennie Gooden Gregory who both precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lindsay; son, Gerry Lindsay; sisters, Patricia Gregory Murphy and Billie Doris Gregory.

Imogene was raised in Conroe, Texas and graduated from Conroe High School. She then married the love of her life, James Lindsay on September 13, 1947. They moved to Houston to start their life together as Mr. and Mrs. James Lindsay. They made the move to New Caney in 1972 where Imogene became a devoted member at Porter Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Cobb and husband Claude, Jimmie Lindsay and wife Laura, Steve Lindsay, Bobby Lindsay and wife Cassandra; grandchildren, Chuck Jackson, Jennifer Mathews, Lisa Lindsay, Patrick Cobb, Leslie McCaffrey, John Lindsay, Daniel Lindsay, Crystal Lindsay and Jimmie Lindsay Jr.; six great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of loving friends.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Porter. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at the church following the visitation with Troy Cates officiating. Interment services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at Rosewood Memorial Park Porter in Porter, Texas. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Louis Rhoden, Chris Schetter, Greg Murphy, Sammy Atkinson, Steve Bell and Jeff McKnight; honorary pallbearers will be Avil Murphy, Glen Trout and Marty Murphy.
