OBITUARY

Jesse was born August 4, 1975, in Oakland, California.  He attended St. David’s Catholic parochial school from kindergarten through 8th grade.  The best part of those years was staying with his brother, Chris, and his cousins after school at his grandmother’s home.  His grandmother, as well as his mother, played a critical role in shaping him into the upstanding man he became.  He was devoted to his grandmother.  His adventures with his brother into the acres of park land adjacent to his grandmother’s home were memories he talked about throughout his life.

rn

Jesse attended John Swett High School in Crockett, California.  He graduated in 1993.  He participated in various sports through his high school years but particularly enjoyed track and baseball.

rn

After graduating from high school, Jesse started into the construction trade.  From an early age, Jesse always felt that his career path would lead to carpentry work.  And, as we who know him can attest to, Jesse was a craftsman, an artist, and committed to his work with wood.

rn

In 1995, Jesse moved with his girlfriend, Susan, to Houston, Texas, where he was employed in all phases of home construction.  This job allowed him to fine tune his tremendous talent with wood.  In 2001, Jesse started a custom cabinet business in Kingwood, Texas.  With virtually no advertising but only word of mouth, Jesse’s business flourished.  He had achieved success through his artistic and creative woodworking skills, as well as his people skills in meeting the needs and desires of his customers.

rn

Jesse and his longtime girlfriend, Susan, spent nearly 25 years together.  They were soulmates.  They complimented each other.  In spite of their age difference, their love and devotion to one another never wavered.  She was the Ying and he was the Yang.  The love they had for each other was evident to everyone who knew them.  Wherever Susan was, Jesse was right there with her and vice versa.

rn

They married in a civil ceremony in Las Vegas on October 7, 2006.  Then again, after Jesse finished his confirmation in the Church, they were married in the eyes of God at St Martha’s on May 21, 2016.  He was so proud that he had completed his Confirmation and that he was able to, at last, return home to the Catholic Church.

rn

Jesse’s absence on this earth will be forever felt.

rn

Jesse leaves behind his wife, Susan, as well as his mother Debra Troxell, father Jesse Page, Sr, stepfather Tom Troxell, older brother Chris Page and his wife, Lisa, two nephews Noah and Daniel, younger half-brother Andrew Troxell, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

rn

Jesse also leaves behind a son and best friend, Matthew Torney and his wife Nicole, and three of the most cherished and loved grandchildren Gregory Torney, Benjamin Torney, and Madeline Torney.  Jesse’s other best friend and son, Andrew Torney, predeceased him.

rn

Jesse also leaves behind many, many friends, customers, and associates.
