Theodore “Ted” Strachan Paradis, 70, was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on February 24, 1948 to parents Flora and Theodore Joseph Paradis and went home to be with his Lord on Thursday May 24, 2018.

Most of Ted’s early working career was spent as a stock broker/Vice President with Merrill Lynch. After devoting 34 years in the financial industry to Merrill Lynch, Ted retired and went to work at Lowe’s Home Improvement Center. His gentle sweet nature and love of people earned him the nickname “teddy bear”. This wonderful, sweet personality and love of people, led to him being awarded numerous accolades and awards for his outstanding customer service at Lowe’s. Ted was a man of strong faith who always let others know Jesus was his Lord and always wore his crucifix for all to see.

Ted had a passion for life but almost as much as he loved people, he loved his “furry children” Gracie and Annie.

Ted is preceded in death by his father Theodore Joseph Paradis; mother, Flora Pettigrew Melvin; and brother, Melvin Theodore Paradis. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann Williams Mitchum Paradis; his children, Jason Matthew (Bridgette), Benjamin Joseph (Jen), Kiersten Elizabeth, Michael Joseph; step children, Marisa Allington, Robert James Mitchum, Steve Allen Mitchum; grandchildren, Bradley Cooper Paradis, Addison Claire Paradis and Stanley Duane Paradis.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 3:00pm at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 19330 Pinehurst Trail, Humble, Texas 77346.
