James Leroy Parsons was born in Ashland, Kentucky on July 7, 1945 to Jane and Hurst Parsons and passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the age of 69. James is survived by his brother Joel and his sisters Louise, Joyce, Margie, Leava and Jill. He leaves behind his wife Rebecca of 50 years and his five children James, Sis, Mel, Dan and Faith. He was a carpenter by trade and worked hard every day of his life to give his family the best he had. He has multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren to carry on his legacy. He went on mission trips and had a heart for children. Doing the Lord’s work is where he found his purpose and peace. He touched so many lives with his work and his love. He was the pillar of strength for his family and left a great void in our lives. He has found his peace now with his heavenly father and we know he is rejoicing with the angels. We love you Dad and you will forever live in our hearts, memories and lives. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with him for all these years though they now seem so fleeting. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 pm Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Triumph Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 immediately following the visitation.
