Bert Thomas Reid (Tommy) went home to the Lord on September 20, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Foster Reid, his two sons Jim Reid and wife Chris, Bill Reid and wife Laura, daughter Karen Dearing, one grandson, four granddaughters and three great grandchildren.

Tommy was born in Dallas, Texas on January 11, 1931 and grew up in the small town of Vernon, Texas. He joined the US Navy in 1950 and served two of his years in Atsugi, Japan before his discharge in 1954. From there he went on to graduate from Texas Tech University after which he started his 33 year career with Exxon, retiring in 1991. After retiring he served the community doing volunteer work with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, the hospital, and Meals on Wheels. Tommy enjoyed golf, traveling, and scuba diving among many things and will best be remembered for his unique sense of humor and a true zest for life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
