Laura “Laurie” Ann Saucedo passed away peacefully on November 18, 2017, at the age of 53 surrounded by family. She leaves behind two daughters, Angelica Grace Saucedo and Elizabeth Sofia Saucedo; one granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth Saucedo; and longtime love and best friend, Christopher Patek.

Laura was born on September 1st, 1964 in Youngstown, Ohio to Jack Miller and Juanta E. Miller. Laura was the youngest of 9 children; Jacquelyn Ostavitz, Marlene Russo, Robert David Thomas Jr., Patrick Thomas, Juanita Marsico, Ronald Miller, and preceded in death by two siblings, Patricia Hunsbarger, and Thomas J. Thomas, as well as both her parents.

At the age of 18, Laura moved to Houston, Texas with her best friend Trina and made Texas her permanent home. Her love of the outdoors filled her weekends with hunting, fishing, and talking around the campfire with a beer in hand (cheers!).

She lived a very full life while being everyone’s biggest support system. Laura was a fighter. She kicked cancer’s butt for 5 years and still found a way to be a superhero. From being the best mom, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, or partner, anyone could ask for. Laura’s strength never failed to amaze and inspire those around her.
