Lorraine Schumacher passed away on May 2, 2017, surrounded by love.

She was born in Chicago, IL and relocated to Texas as soon as she could get here. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Haugen; grandchildren, Christine Haugen, Kevin Haugen and his wife Kaitlin, and Mark Haugen; great grand dog, Harper; siblings George Babick and Ruth Lewis; and numerous relatives.

She is predeceased by her husband Lester G. Schumacher, and her parents Louis and Angee Babick.

Lorraine lived a long, full life with a variety interests and hobbies, including literature and the arts, calligraphy, sewing and politics. She was an amazingly strong woman with a positive attitude who served as a role model to many. Above all, Lorraine was devoted to her daughter and grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy. She will be dearly missed!
Funeral: A celebration of life was held on 2017-05-13 at Darst Funeral Home. With a luncheon to follow in the gardens. Garden attire is suggested as most activities will be outdoors.
