Takhtajian, Sarkis

Sarkis Takhtajian was born  on March 8, 1932 to Antranik and Alice Takhtajian.  He graduated from American University of Beirut with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.  He was in the construction business for over 50 year.  He built the American University of Beirut hospital complex and 70 other major projects. The last 4 years he lived with his younger brother Vartkes and his sister-in-law Arpie in Sugar Land, TX.  During that time he traveled extensively with them, and his dream was to visit his mother land Armenia.  In 2014 with a group of St. Kevork parishioners his dream was finally fulfilled.  He also visited other historical sites such as Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  He is survived by his brother and his sister-in-law, his nephew Andrew and niece Christine.
