March 13, 1930 - October 14, 2015
Celeste Estelle Thompson, who was lovingly known to many as “Dot”, went peacefully home to the Kingdom of Heaven with her family by her side on October 14, 2015 at the age of 85.
Celeste was born on March 13, 1930 in Genoa, TX and led a life full of compassion, elegance and grace. She touched so many lives with her warm welcome and generosity. A daughter, a sister, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished Gran-Gran and a dear friend, Celeste was also a talented artist in her own right. More than anything, she blessed the lives of the people that had the privilege of being in her presence and made them feel uniquely special. She lived for her family that has past and for those that will carry on her memory…and her recipes.
She is smiling down on us in Heaven surrounded by her close knit friends and family that have preceded her including her husband George “Pappy” Thompson and her grand-daughter Terri Kaye Morgan. She will be a guardian angel to those she is survived by her daughter, Kaye Thompson Lanius and husband, Robbie Lanius; granddaughter, Lori Gustavus Kolodziejczak and husband Pascal Kolodziejczak and great granddaughters, Eva Celeste (11) and Chloe Louise (8) Kolodziejczak and to those in her extended circle that she considered family.
Her life will be celebrated and her memory will be honored in the Gardens of Darst Funeral Home, located at 796 Russell Palmer Rd., Kingwood, TX 77339, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:30pm. A reception will follow the memorial service in the gardens.
