Mary Madalyn Paquette Tierney (“Molly” to her friends and neighbors), a long-time resident of Kingwood, Texas, died Monday, November 2, 2015 peacefully in the presence of loving family.

Born September 6, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, Mary was raised in Wyandotte, MI. In 1968 she married William R. Tierney, who passed away a few short years later. She never remarried. Following her husband’s death, she lived several years in California, returned to Michigan for a short time, and eventually settled in Texas in the fall of 1985.

Mary had a 50-year career as a legal secretary finishing her last 30 years with the Locke Lord firm in downtown Houston, where she retired just this past March. She loved travel, gardening, china painting, needle work, decorating her home, sewing, doll making, lunches with friends, time with family, and time alone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Amy, her husband Bill, and her brother, Patrick Paquette.

She is survived by her brother Gerald R. Paquette (Mary) of Houston, niece Pamela L. Garza (Bert) of Kosse, Texas, sister-in-law Patti Paquette, of Michigan, sister-in-law Margaret Clark (Pat) of Lakeland, Florida, nieces and nephews, Joseph Paquette, Cynthia Karoub, Kristin Paquette, Brian Paquette, Kevin Paquette, and Jeffrey Paquette. She will also be missed by her great nieces and nephews Keegan Garza, Amy Garza, Madelyn Karoub, Noah Karoub, Monique Karoub, and Nicolette Karoub.

Visitation with the family is at 6:00-7:30p.m. on Thursday, November 5th at Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas. Immediately following the visitation, those who wish to stay are all invited for the recitation of the rosary.

Funeral mass will be on Friday, November 6th at 10:30a.m. at St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Parkway, Porter, Texas 77365 with a luncheon reception following nearby in the gardens of Darst Funeral Home.
