Kristen Ann Uttenweiler-Eakman, 39, was welcomed home into eternal glory on Tuesday April 28, 2015. She was born December 22, 1975, in Webster, Texas, to Fred and Caryn Uttenweiler, with a tremendous spirit that was exhibited in all that she did.

As a young girl, she was involved in many activities including the Girl Scouts of America, but it was her love of dancing that flourished as she danced extensively through high school culminating as a member of the Kingwood High School Fillies drill team. In her youth, Kristen was a devoted member of the Kingwood United Methodist Church youth group. She was especially active in the United Methodist Action Reach-out Mission by Youth (U.M. ARMY) organization, attending camps throughout Texas for eight years, helping repair homes and minister to those in need. She graduated from Kingwood High School in 1994. She attended Sam Houston State University and the University of Houston where her other great passion, working with children, was nurtured as an education major. She later worked for Humble ISD and Splendora ISD, as both a para educator and a teacher where she loved doting on “her babies.” On Valentine’s Day 2015, she married her “Prince Charming,” Jon Eakman. Though they were married only a short time, Kristen’s happiness and devotion for her husband was ever present.
