She lived in her hometown of Louisville, KY until graduating high school, when she moved with her family to Richland, WA, where she met and married her husband, Robert A. She worked as a nursing assistant for many years and cared for her husband for 17 years after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease until his death in 1998. She loved babies and children and showed it by volunteering her time sewing blankets for the babies of unwed mothers and created beautiful burial gowns for infants made from wedding dresses. Her artwork will be prized for years to come by those who own it. She was quick to make a joke and a friend. Her memory will bring smiles to all who knew her.
