OBITUARY

 Margaret Rosalind (King) Zuehlke (“Rose”) went to be with the Lord and her heavenly family on February 8, 2015. Rose was born in Jackson, Michigan, November 24, 1923.  Rose graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Jackson, MI.  She was a very active member of the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Jackson for close to 50 years. Rose was married for 47 years to Robert William Zuehlke, who preceded her in death in 1992. In 1994, she moved from Jackson, MMI to Houston, Texas where she resided in an apartment on her own with her cat and special items through the remainder of her 91 years.  She is survived by 3 of her 4 children. Oldest son, James William Zuehlke preceded her in death April 2004. Remaining surviving children are: daughter, Kathleen Ann (Zuehlke, Losey) Silva and son-in-law Stephen of Kingwood, TX; son Robert Bruce Zuehlke and daughter-in-law Yuko of Fairfax Station, VA; and Patricia Marie (Zuehlke, Bloodworth) Gargano and son-in-law Keith of Humble, TX. Nine grandchildren: Michelle Losey, Monica Losey and Brandon Bloodworth of TX; Eric Zuehlke of NY;Kai Zuehlke of GA; Rob Zuehlke of Washington DC;  Adam Zuehlke, Derek Zuehlke and Todd Zuehlke of WA. Rose had seven great –grandchildren. Rose was a seamstress for over 60 years with wonderful customers and friends in both Jackson and Houston.  A memorial service will be held Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd., Kingwood, TX 77339, on Saturday, February 28th at 5:00 p.m., beginning with the recitation of the Rosary. After the service everyone is invited to celebrate Rose’s life by joining the family in a meal at the facility.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an organization that remained dear to Rose’s heart since the 40s –USO Inc.
